Men in a ship are always looking up, and men ashore are usually looking down.

Club Racing

Last year's PPYC racing season was a big success! Everyone had fun and shared a few exciting moments. Those not up to putting their own boats in the races crewed on other boats, learning more about sailboat racing each time. Thanks to all participants for helping make our racing program a success, again.

We have lots of plans for this year. Our ongoing goal is to increase the size of the racing fleet. To help accomplish this, the 'old salts' race with new or near new racers to share what they know (or think they know) or take on crew on their own boats. Don't be shy! You paid your dues, so tell us what you want to try.

If there is enough interest, we can schedule racing seminars to review race officiating, rules, and tactics for interested participants.

Engraved racing trophy tankards are awarded at the annual Icebreaker social for each racing season. This year's trophies are ready and waiting for your name and the name of your boat.
