Sailboat Cove

Smithville Lake is located in beautiful northwest Missouri, just north of the Kansas City metropolitan area. From the town of Smithville, Missouri, the lake stretches north 16 miles to the small town of Plattsburg, Missouri. The lake spreads over 7210 acres of rolling farm country on the Little Platte River and is located in Clay and Clinton counties.

Major highways leading to Kansas City make a visit to Smithville Lake very easy. Highways include Interstate 29, Interstate 435, Interstate 35 and State Highways 169 and 92.

To reach Sailboat Cove, take Highway W east from Highway 169 north of Smithville, Missouri, toward Paradise, Missouri, on the east side of Smithville lake. On arriving in Paradise, turn back west on Paradise Road after the white Baptist Church and before the convenience store and gas station.
